Hyperstate #1 is a 35mm essay that represents the transfiguration of time and space during a hallucinogenic experience.

A ritualistic vision born from the artist’s trip archive and the ephemerality of an altered state of perception.

From individuality to multitude, silence to electronic ecstasy, the natural to the artificial, the psychedelic journey tells of an appreciative and clinical evolution outside of its idiosyncratic creative capacity and illustrates a variety of perceptions and interpretations.

The narrative transposes the intersection of two rolls of 35 mm KODAK 500T film, one of which was introduced in “reverse” and filmed on the opposite side of the emulsion (“Red Filter” phenomenon), creating two parallel lines of the “I” in different states of consciousness, which represent the duality of this ritualistic experience around two protagonists - the subject and his work.
